The Rewards of Being Passionate

It took me ages to act on the things I am passionate about.

I mean how do you find your true calling?

When I was stuck in marketing I truly felt that there would be not much else I could ever do. I was a a square peg trying to push myself into a round hole – I did this through people pleasing, being organised, on time and efficient…and doing just enough to get by.

I certainly didn’t love it and I didn’t want to do more of it on the weekends.

I’ve always loved writing…but then I’ve always loved wine too….so how do you discern what path to follow when it comes to your life?

1. It doesn’t feel like work.

Sitting here, writing this post takes me fifteen minute – half an hour max. I don’t slog over the words, I don’t research like crazy…I write from my heart and I write what’s on my mind.

2. You would do it even if you weren’t getting paid.

This isn’t a paid gig but I love it. This is a stepping stone to some bigger things on the horizon but I never thought about it like that. I just wanted to write. I just wanted people to read it.

3. It’s making you dream bigger

You start to get the feeling, when following the right path, that anything is possible. That you really, truly could have everything you ever wanted.

This weekend I am soo lucky to be off down South to speak at and attend the Just Breathe Wellness Retreat. Writing this blog has started to open up a world of opportunities for me and I couldn’t be happier.

I can’t work out what I am going to be more excited about – the yoga, the meditation class, the nutrition talks…or the mulled wine after I finish speaking 🙂

If this sounds like something you would love to do this weekend then there are still some spaces left! Be quick and head over to the Just Breathe headquarters and grab your tickets. I’d be so honoured to have you there.

If not stay tuned next week for my review 🙂

xx
