The Day Off

What is that?

Since becoming a Mum a day off is certainly a laughable concept.

But we CAN take it easy. We can give ourselves a day off that will allow us to rest and rejuvenate.

How?

Remove your list of have-to’s for the day.

For one day (and it won’t matter) take time out that you need.

Today I’m not going to leave the house (unless I want to). 

Today I am not going to do any washing (unless it takes my fancy) 

Today I am not going to cook (unless I am inspired) 

Today I am going to lie on my couch, play with my children (if I feel like it) and do what I want to do. 

I have low energy and that tells me I need to rest to recharge again.

We need to learn to listen to our bodies instead of keeping on keeping on.

Otherwise we are super-stressed, uber exhausted and unhappy with our lot in life.

We feel put upon for the activities we are commited to and the tasks we have to do on a daily basis.

Take the break. You really, truly deserve it.
