Dear Lord,
On Saturday I was honoured to become Godmother to one of your children.
I know, I know, we were late, again. We almost didn’t make it.
But…as your book says, the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away.
You have given me two wonderful, healthy boys.
But you taketh my ability to remember anything other than my own name.
You taketh my sleep, meaning I function at half-mast most of the time.
You taketh the opportunity to get ready by myself.
You taketh my ability to wear the first outfit I put on (cause my children have dirtied it before we leave the house).
Some days you almost taketh my sanity.
And so…the Baptism nearly started without us, but it all turned out in the end.
Thank you for my wonderful children, (and Godchildren) they are worth more than I’ve lost.
xx
