It’s been a year of blogging for me. Yep it’s my blogiversary.
The more my blog goes on the more it’s about Motherhood for me. It’s about telling stories. It’s about connecting with other Mums. It’s about making people laugh and nod their heads and say “Thank God it’s not just me!”
Motherhood started it all and I am so happy and blessed to have my little dream machines:
What you are watching here is the journey of making my dream come true. Just by reading this you are helping me to unfold this dream from the tightest corner of my heart where I have held it since I was a kid.
I have tried to think of ways to sum it up my blogging journey and year and the one word that comes to mind is INSPIRED.
Yes I am totally grateful.
THANK YOU for reading.
But I am lit up from the inside by doing what I love and feel like I am on a continuous path of inspiration, joy and love.
So even if no one read this, I feel like I would be so inspired that I have the opportunity to be able to write in my daily life, that other good things would come from it.
YOU NEED TO DREAM
A couple of years ago I thought it was all over for me. I was a stay at home Mum now, I’d probably end up back in an office. The years of opportunity to get into writing had passed me by. Where would I get the time and who the heck would hire someone that had been out of the workforce for years? I wrote a couple of novels, tried to get them published. Failed. That’s it, thanks for playing.
NO
That was my voice telling me that. No one else. If I no longer believed that “little voice of reason” then that meant anything was possible, anything can happen.
Below I have put together some things that are inspiring me this week and I urge you to go and have a look at any of the links that interest you and really think about the quotes I have put down here.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on what inspires you.
Check these out:
Michael Buble on How To Get The Life Of Your Dreams
“Try not. Do or do not!!!There is no try.” Yoda.
I’m not a Star Wars fan but this is something that Michael Buble quoted when talking about his rise to fame and how he had stepped out his five year plan to include this incredible success.
He believed that it would happen and so it did. There is no trying to do something, you either do it or you do not.
How many times have you hung back and thought famous people, people you admire get there by luck?
I don’t believe that.
Will Smith on Inspiration
Watch this video with Will Smith and listen to his conviction on making things happen. I love it. Thank you Kelly from Dogrosehealing for sharing this morning.
My favourite quote is when he says, “Decide what your going to do, decide who you are going to be and then the Universe gets out your way. Make a decision.”
You know I think if you feel like you are pushing yourself up a hill to get to where you want to be – then you are probably flinging yourself up the wrong hill.
When you love something, when you are incredibly good at something (not just ok), then things fall into place for you and it doesn’t seem like hard work. It feels like Life. A Life that is beautiful, bright and shiny with infinite possibilities.
People inspiring everyday – these ladies I know personally!
Look at these women, women that I know and so I know that they are just like you and me – going forth into the world, making their dreams come true and making a difference.
Coach Bobbi is petitioning Hay House to have a meeting with her to make her dreams come true, please sign and give her strength in numbers:
Kirri White and Debra Dane putting their heads together to work out how to empower women the best way they know how – by putting together tools for them to take care of themselves first. If you want a learn the path to self love and believing in yourself you can start here:

My friend Bek Mugrdige, author of The Pram Diet, is putting together an opportunity for others to link to her site. Her topic is Mums keeping it real. I admire her dedication to showing the world that everyone has the same struggles with Motherhood, some just gloss over it better.
So check it out tomorrow.

Also my friend Amy – who is passionately committed to making new Mums feel like that have a community is featured here. In an interview about Mum’s celebrating other Mums.
LOVE IT ALL.
Please read and let me know what inspired you this week.

Happy blogiversary! We started our blogging adventure within a few days of each other! 🙂
Happy blogiversary to you too!
Fantastic Nic!
Happy blogaversary! I’m so glad you took the plunge and started writing because you inspire me!
And you me!
Happy blogaversary…I just realised I have been blogging for close to two years (eeek I feel so old!). Thank you so much for sharing part of my hearts work here today. I appreciate it x
Thank you for doing what you do!
Congrats on a year – it’s amazing how quickly it passes. I would argue with yoda about there being “try”. But as he’s a Jedi master I might fail – but at least I tried (see what I did there?)
Haha – see trying is doing but with a failure clause 🙂
